Blue Warmth

Blue is one of my favorite colors, I have a hard time to decide which color to pick when designers offers clothing in multiple colors. I always either go for black or blue. Sometimes I’m bold and choose a different color. But today blue won again. I love this tunic from Molichino and complimented it with classic french jewelry.

3 Evils

I was wondering what to blog about next, when the man in my life suggested that as I work so hard – or not – why not blog about it. I’m not allowed to blog about my work, as it’s confidential – so confidential that sometimes I don’t even know what I’m doing. So I thought I see if I can find something on this subject and stumbled upon this quote from Voltaire quotes:

Work spare us from three evils: Boredom (YUS!), Vice (nods) and need (correct). So, as I beaver away… sometimes, I can now safely say that I have three less evils to worry about!

In the spirit of working, I decided to wear this sexy top from Pink Cherry and chic pants from ColdLogic. Perfect for the office.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to Mrs Grace Trevelyan-Grey’s “Coping Together” fundraiser. It was a spectacular event and I had to go shopping for the perfect gown. The event went perfectly – only as you can expect from Mrs Trevelyn-Grey. Of course the weather also played along and did its part to make it a magical night. The views out of the grandiose venue was breathtaking, with the twinkling lights of Seattle in the distance.

Many a girl stared at Christian with awe, and I got to sneak a little wave. *blushes* The evening was indeed magical.

This is one of my favorite red dresses too. I love the look of it and how it delicately folds around my shape. Also one of my older dresses, but worth blogging about again 🙂

Lady of the Moon

Have you heard about the “Lady of the moon”? A long , long time ago there was this lady who was married to a heavenly archer. They did a lot of brave things together. Then the Queen Mother gift her with a magic pill of immortality, with the instruction to take it in one year’s time. But then she accidently swallow it after only four days and floats to the moon. Just as she was rising her husband throws her pet rabbit at her, so she wouldn’t be alone.

She lives until this day on the moon with her pet rabbit, and they say when the moon is full, you can see them and ask her for a special wish. (Story by: Frances Kai-Hwu Wang)

Spring Story

One day there was this old man sitting by a dying fire. When he was approached by a handsome young man with red cheeks and sparkly eyes and a skip in his step. His forehead was bound with a wreath of sweet grass and in his hands were a bunch of fragrant flowers. The old man was happy to see him and they introduced themselves. The old man, the Spirit of Winter and the young, the Spirit of Spring. While they were talking a wonderful thing happened. A gentle warmth stole over the place. The Spirit of Winter became silent, his head drooped and the snow started to melt. The Spirit of Spring grew more radiant and rose joyfully to his feet. The robin and the blue bird began to sing and the stream began to murmur, and the fragrance of opening flowers came softly on the breeze. The Spirit of Winter sank down and dissolved into tiny streams that vanished under the brown leaves of the forest. Shopping

So I am shopaholic, I know I am. The man in my life get so nervous by the amount of lindens I spend, that he offered to keep it for me. And that worked for a few days. But then when I thought about it, it’s not like I have to save up for old age or something in Second Life. I keep to my weekly budget.. barely, mostly…

I so love looking for a nice bargain, and something different. Then I read this joke and I had to chuckle: It was the day of the big sale.
Rumors of the sale (and some advertising in the local paper) were the main reason for the long line that formed by 8:30, the store’s opening time, in front of the store.

A small man pushed his way to the front of the line, only to be pushed back, amid loud and colorful curses.
On the man’s second attempt, he was punched square in the jaw, and knocked around a bit, and then thrown to the end of the line again.
As he got up the second time, he said to the person at the end of the line:
“That does it! If they hit me one more time, I won’t open the store!”
